I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
